Chuck Tanowitz
As a director and new media strategist, Chuck Tanowitz develops strategy and manages the day-to-day activities with his technology-focused accounts. Chuck is an avid student of media with a particular focus on the emerging social media world and how it complements and competes with traditional journalism.
Chuck has been "blogging" since 1999 and currently manages several blogs, including a "placeblog" focused on Newton, Mass. called The Garden City. His thoughts on media can also be found on Media Metamorphosis.
Before moving to public relations, Chuck had an established career as a broadcast writer and producer and a freelance print reporter. Chuck holds a BA in both English and American Literature, and American Studies from Brandeis University and an MS in Journalism from Columbia University.
