Ed Barker

Ed Barker

Ed is a seasoned communications practitioner specialising in the wireless and media sectors, and has developed a strong track record working with both start-ups and global blue chips. Prior to joining Schwartz, Ed worked with some of the world's most prominent wireless and media companies including RIM, BBC, Reuters, Qualcomm and the GSM Association.

He became a prominent contributor to the blogosphere with two UK based blogs. Most famously, he edited United Rant, a football fanzine for Manchester United supporters, which attracted more than a million readers at its height. Almost by accident, Ed found himself a regular contributor to national newspapers and radio. He was also wrote on occasion for Maggie's Pants, a satirical political blog.

Ed is a graduate of the University of Sheffield with a B.A. (Hons.) in Economics and Politics, and holds a Masters in Public Relations. He has a three year old daughter, and when not running around after her, he's terrorising the streets of London on an unashamedly loud Triumph Bonneville "Sixty Eight".
